About Us
Our Family
We are Thomas, Stephanie, Vivian, Isolena, and Garrison Hawkins, and God has called us minister to our "Samaria." Samaria was a location near Judea, but Jesus commanded His followers to go there in Acts 1:8. It was a place with people who, the society that Jesus was speaking to, were considered undesirable. God has called us to the people that society often overlooks. To Jesus, they were worth His life, and to us, they are worth our effort to seek and minister to them.

Our Testimonies
Thomas' Testimony-
For as long as I can remember I have always gone to church. I have always heard people talk about getting saved or needing to be saved but I did not fully understand my personal need for salvation until I was sixteen years old. Up to that point in my life I had been saying that I got saved when I was five and a profession, I had made one night when I was scared at home. But I never had peace that Jesus gives or the change in my heart that happens when you truly get saved.
When I was a teenager, I thought if Jesus was to return, I would hang out in the woods somewhere and wait until it was all over, and I would survive. But, one Wednesday evening my pastor was going through the book of Revelation, and he began to preach on the fact that if a person neglected their opportunity to be saved before the rapture that their chances to be saved after the rapture would be slim to none. That scared me to death, but I convinced myself that I would be ok and made it through the invitation. When I got home that night I was still under conviction, the Holy Spirit was dealing with me. I tried to go to sleep but it was like the Lord was in bed with me. I thought Christ was coming that night and I knew I would be left to die and go to hell in the coming tribulation. So, I got out of my bed and went into my parent’s room and asked to sleep in the floor. For the next thirty minutes or so I kept looking to see if they were still in the bed, finally I told my dad that we needed to talk. He took me to the living room and asked me what was wrong; he asked if I needed assurance of my salvation. This is what I said, “No Dad I am lost.” and that is when Jesus Christ saved my soul. My dad showed me the plan of salvation from the Bible, and I bowed by the couch and asked Christ to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I got saved that night!!
From that moment on I have known where I will go if I die, and I now know peace, true happiness, joy, and love. I have been changed since that night; I am now forty-three years old and forever saved.

I announced my call to preach on October 28, 2007 after years of struggling against the Lord and finally surrendering my will to Him. In 2015 I joined as a missionary with a prison ministry mission board and served with that board for 10 years.

In February 2025 the Lord began to work in my heart about my ministry in the prisons being more local church after hearing a message about the way God planned mission work to operate. After much prayer and consultation with my pastor I began serving with Samaria Prison Ministry out of my local church in November 2025.
